Education as a Foundation

One key aspect of women empowerment is education. At Kitale Family House of Hope Children’s Home, , we are committed to providing quality education to all our residents, with a special emphasis on empowering young girls. Through a holistic approach that goes beyond traditional academics, we aim to nurture their curiosity, critical thinking skills, and passion for lifelong learning.

Our primary school serves as the foundation for a brighter future. By providing a safe and nurturing environment, we ensure that the girls receive a quality education, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to break the chains of adversity.

About

Empowering young girls involves equipping them with practical skills that will serve them well in the future. We offer a range of skill development programs, including vocational training, computer literacy, and life skills workshops. Kitale Family House of Hope Children's Home  runs  a technical training school offering courses in hairdressing and beauty therapy, catering   and tailoring and dress making.  These practical skills empower the girls with the means to achieve financial independence. The curriculum emphasizes not only technical proficiency but also includes modules on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and communication skills.

Empowering Through Entrepreneurship

About

Upon completion of their courses, we go a step further by providing start-up tools and capital to kickstart their own ventures. Whether it's establishing a salon, a tailoring business, or any entrepreneurial endeavor they aspire to pursue, we aim to empower these young women economically. This support ensures that they not only survive but thrive in their chosen paths, becoming self-reliant contributors to society.

Mentorship and life skills training

About

Issues we address

Through mentorship programs and workshops, we encourage our young girls to discover and embrace their unique strengths and voices. Additionally, our mentorship programs connect these young women with successful individuals who serve as role models. The mentorship programs are not limited to the girls under our program. We also provide counseling services and create a supportive community where girls can express themselves freely, building emotional strength and resilience that will serve them well in facing life's challenges. We do school mentorship programs where we visit at least 4 schools in a month.

Community Engagement and Advocacy

We engage in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual abuse and the importance of empowering survivors. We collaborate with like-minded organizations and influential figures to amplify our message. Through outreach programs, community service, and awareness campaigns, we instill a sense of social responsibility and empower the girls to become advocates for positive change.
