HOUSE OF HOPE COLLEGE
House of Hope college started in 2003 as a community-based Organization to empower young women to support their families. During that time, the college was focused on skill-based training where the women from the community would be trained for free given internal exams then graduate. On graduation, the women would be given sewing machines to start a business. From 2003-2019, 3740 women benefitted from this program. In 2019, house of hope college was registered as a Technical and Vocational educational training Centre. Initially, it was meant to be an exit plan strategy for children in the children’s home who were approaching 18 years old and could not proceed with formal education. Over time, the school was opened to the community and students not only sit for internal exams but also national exams (KNEC and NITA)
