Community outreach and empowerment

Relief Missions

God gave us a heart to reach out to reach out to the hurting the rejected and the broken hearted. This began in 2005 when there were a lot of floods in Namanjalala Sabwani area when hundreds were displaced. We expressed our love in a very practical way by giving out food, clothes and blankets. In the same year we supported over 500 families that had been evicted by the Saboti Land defence forces, in 2007 when the president of the republic of kenya declared hunger in kenya a national disaster, We supported over 200 families with relief food and the situation came into normalcy. In 2008, after the postelection violence, our church in partnership with other partners supported over one thousand internally displaced persons at Sikhendu providing at least two meals for a period of nine months. From that time till now, relief missions has been part of our lifestyle. We are providing for less privileged communities with food as soon as we are able to do so. We have so far done this not only in trans-Nzoia, but also in, Mwingi, Turkana,Samburu,Bungoma  and West Pokot. As the scriptures say- A true and undefiled religion before God our father IS looking after widows in their times of distress. We believe we are the body of Christ and Christ ministers through us. He gives hope to the hopeless through. He binds the wounds of the broken hearted through us.

High school mentorship programs

The school mentorship program is a proactive measure to reduce the number of children in need of care and protection. Through the school mentorship program. We do motivational speaking on academics and personal growth; we also talk about abstinence and sexual purity and drug and drug abuse. The objective is to sensitize the young teenagers so that they can do well in school and avoid teenage pregnancy. That way, poverty and issue of teen pregnancy (which are the leading causes of children in need of care and protection) are reduced.

Through the school mentorship program, we also distribute sanitary towels to vulnerable girls to reduce period shame and cases of period poverty, where due to lack of sanitary towels, girls compromise their dignity in exchange to sanitary towels. We also do general female hygiene talks.
